Field of Greens supplement review
If you are an avid fan of Huberman or even Ben Shapiro, You probably heard of this stuff.
Supplements should never replace eating fruits and vegetables, make no mistake. Nothing beats chewing down fruit.
But some days, it is ok to supplement on a busy day. Hell, sometimes you just don’t want to eat a third of your calories from vegetables (for me that’s 1100 calories of broccoli, bananas, apples, oranges, beans with my recent meal plan)
I love supplements, In the early days of not knowing much I used to chug this pure sugar protein shake. I didn’t know the carbs were just sugar! The dentist noticed my teeth deteriorating. Not good.
These days, to save money I use this plus a whey protein isolate, mix it with water. So I decided to reach out and be affiliated.
What’s in it
Here’s the list
- Spinach
- Parsley
- Kale
- Barley
- Wheat
- Spirulina
- Chlorella
- Pepper
- Apple
- Banana
- Potatoes
- Broccoli
- Fibre
- Strawberry
- Raspberry
- Blueberry
- Tart Cherry
- Pomegranate
- Cranberry
- Beet
- Ginger
- Licorice
- Turmeric
- Green Tea
It uses organic stevia, so I know I’m not chugging pure sugar to start off with. it adds a nice sweetener to my whey protein shake (Myprotein)
The description even states “technically not a supplement” as it’s made with real foods.
I noticed the use of fruits and vegetables instead of extracts from, in particular beetroot and turmeric. So I no longer buy turmeric separate (used to do the turmeric shots in the morning…)
It has twelve different veg, fruits, and herbs. Normally I have eight types, so it has me covered on the off days.
The Benefits
If you’ve read my stuff, you know I’m a hypochondriac (About me).
I’ve bought some proper cheap stuff that’s made with dodgy ingredients in the past. Made in factories that aren’t tested for the metals that leak into its products.
So always check the website. Field of greens supplement is “USDA organic”, no dodgy factory involved. But yeah, you get what you pay for.
Personally, I get that feeling like I’ve eaten my five a day if I have this stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I wont take it if I’ve eaten my meal prep perfectly. much like I wont take a protein supplement if my protein consumption is met for that day.
It is powdered veg, fruit and herbs. It contains the benefits of such.
Prevention of diseases, reduction of cholesterol and improved endurance to name a few benefits.
I’m not a doctor, but just google the benefits of eating fruit and vegetables. Look online at the benefits of them even in powdered form.
The price
You get what you pay for
I remember in the UK when the tax on supplements skyrocketed the price of everything… sad times.
Now a protein supplement is twice what I used to pay for ten years ago!
That being said, Field of greens has a price tag. but it also lasts a while, 30 servings. I usually average 2-3 scoops a week so in my case it will last a while!
My closing thoughts
It makes a cheat day feel not so bad
for the two – three days a week or a serious schedule where I can’t stop, a scoop of this stuff works for me. I decided to see if I could be affiliated with Brickhouse as I use it as part of my routine.
There are so many supplements out there and if this isn’t in your budget, maybe find something else.
But for me, it works well. When I write about something online or talk on my YouTube, I won’t ever recommend something I don’t use.
